Description

With a full-grain leather upper, women's boot Vail is perfect for wearing with your entire winter wardrobe. Vail features soft and breathable textile linings with faux fur for welcome warmth and cosiness during the colder months. The plait tassel detail gives the boot an artisan style, and two zips – inside and outside - make it easy to get on and off whatever you get up to.

Already have the tan Vail so wanted the black too. The fit is very good but the leather feels much stiffer and the lining is not so comfortable. I suppose with all costs going up and manufacture no longer in this country we should expect a bit of a dip in quality. As I bought these heavily discounted, I am happy with my purchase, if I had paid full price I would’ve returned them. Lesson - you get what you pay for.

I have yet to receive these boots. I ordered from Hotter a month ago, said in stock and then they weren't. I am told they are now on the way. However, I have to say I am not exactly happy that Hotter uses EVRi delivery sevice. They have improved slightly but deliveries are eratic and some delayed. Hotter informed me on Friday18th September they were now despatched and being delivered by EVRi, my heart sinks. Their update says "we're expecting it" ....to arrive with us soon and will notify tracking once received 15.50 Friday 18th Sept. The next notification is "We've got it" and clearly they haven't yet. Then it will be in transit followed by Out for Delivery. My camera has caught the delivery guy, there are several different ones, standing half way down the front path and aiming at the doorstep and missing and then picking it up and placing it there. He had arrived an hour earlier than the delivery time and we saw him whilst walking back. They never ring the doorbell but the camera informs us of the delivery around a minute later. Within this package was a despatch note informing me of the Daisy trainers enclosed but that the boots were out of stock and to follow. I have had several issues with EVRi, they are impossible to contact and would much rather Hotter used another company. The shoes and boots are not cheap items and packages should be treated with respect to protect from damage.

The Vail boots are stylish and easy to put on with the two zips on either side. The boots are sturdy and well made and should last for years. The heel area is a little too roomy for my thin ankles and feet but I need the length for my long toes,(size 7) so will have to add some padding for them to be a perfect fit. Very good value for money bought in the sale, thankyou very much.

Which fitting is right for you?

Standard fit

This is the most common fitting within our collection. If you usually buy a standard fit when buying footwear, we recommend trying this fit, otherwise known as a ‘D’ fit for women and ‘F-G’ for men.

Wide fit

Our second biggest fitting, perfect for those who want a little more room in their shoes. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘E-EE’ fit for women and ‘G-H’ for men.

Extra Wide fit

This is the broadest of all our fittings, giving your feet extra room in your shoes to help you stay comfortable. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘EEE’ fit for women.

Dual fit

This means the shoe will have a 2mm foam removable insole underneath its top insole, which when removed helps to offer a roomier fit.

There is no such thing as the perfect foot, but there might just be such a thing as the perfect fit.
