1. Fit to your larger foot. Most of us have one foot slightly bigger than the other, so choose the size that suits your larger foot.
2. Try both shoes together. Spend a few minutes walking around indoors to get a feel for the fit.
3. Leave a little wiggle room. Aim for around 10mm between your longest toe and the end of your shoe.
4. Let your feet move. Check there's room across the front of your foot so your shoes can flex with every step.
5. Don't count on stretch. If a pair feels tight, it's not the one. The right pair feels comfortable from day one.
